Installation of a Biomass Boiler system in an existing property is reasonably straightforward as the boiler can be plumbed straight into the existing central heating piping.  However, biomass boilers tend to be significantly larger than gas or oil fired boilers, so it is important to make sure you have sufficient space for both the boiler and the fuel store.  For example a 200kw wood pellet boiler has a footprint of about 1.5m x 1.5m.

If internal space is an issue then fully integrated Heat Cabins are available which contain a boiler room and fuel store in one.  These are delivered to site as a self contained unit, which is positioned next to the existing building and then plumbed into the existing central heating system.
